Shall we be able to see Him? - Yes the Lord will return in bodily fashion. Acts 1:11 says, "...This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw Him go into heaven." 4a. What about those who have died in the Lord? b. What part will they play in the return of Christ? c. Will His return be a public event or will He come secretly? - The church triumphant, those already dead, will precede those who are still alive and belong to Christ, church militant. You won't be able to miss this very public and noisy event. You will either rejoice or be terrified but make no mistake, you will know He has returned. 5. What will eternity be like for those who are in Christ? - A new heaven and a new earth. We will see the unveiling of Christ's perfection and the glorious character of His kingdom. It is the only kingdom that will endure for all eternity. Heaven and earth will be brought together. We will finally be brought to perfection. No tears or sin. No sun will be needed because we will have the light of God's presence. Perfect joy and satisfaction. We will drink of the water of life and eat of the fruit of the tree of life. We will enjoy our God and one another, forever.
