    1. What three pitfalls did the apostle Paul warn us about in Colossians 2:16-23?
    - Legalism (depending on ceremony and ritual), mysticism (visions and religious experiences) and asceticism (separation from society and physical mistreatment of self).
    2. Can any biblical doctrine be dismissed as unimportant, in the process of sanctification?
    - No
    3. Where can we find our Lord’s own exposition of the law of God?
    - The Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 5-7).
    4. What statement of our Lord sums up the law of God?
    - Do to others as you would have them do to you
    5. According to Colossians 3:1-17, what things are we to put off, and what things are we to put on?
    - Put to death what is earthly: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, covetousness, anger, wrath, malice, slander and obscene talk.
    - Put on: compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, patience, forgiveness, and love.
    6. What is the biblical principle of submission, and what is its connection to Christian living?
    - Service to others, beginning with our families.
    7. What is our responsibility to the nation in which we live?
    - We are to obey the laws of our nation, including paying taxes.
    8. What should we do if the commandment of God and the laws of men do not agree?
    - We must always choose God over our man made laws, even to persecution by those men.
