  1. Chapter 8
    1. What priestly duty did the Lord Jesus Christ fulfill in the Sermon on the Mount?
    - He taught the people God's laws.
    2. Which tribe of Israel were the priests taken from?
    - The tribe of Levi.
    3. Was the Lord Jesus Christ from the tribe of Levi?
    - No. He was from the order of Melchizedek (King of Righteousness)
    4. How long will the high priesthood of Christ endure?
    - Forever.
    5. What unique sacrifice did the Lord Jesus Christ offer as our High Priest?
    - Christ offered 'the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!' He offered Himself.

    Chapter 9
    1. What standard was expected of Israel's prophets?
    - The standard of infallible fulfilment. Every prophesy must come true or they were to be put to death.
    2a. What kind of reception did prophets often endure for the sake of truth?
    - Opposition, torture, death.
    2b. Was this true of Christ?
    - Yes!
    2c. What does this suggest as to the possible response we may have in our efforts to preach the gospel?
    - Why would we expect it should be any different for us.
    3a. Which two prophets conversed with Christ on the Mount of Transfiguration, and what did they talk about?
    - Moses and Elijah joined the Lord and discussed the exodus that the Lord would bring to fulfilment at Jerusalem.
    3b. Compare the mission of Moses with that of Christ.
    - Moses led Israel out of slavery in Egypt as Christ would lead His chosen people out of bondage to Satan, sin and hell.
    4. The apostle Peter was with Christ on the mountain, and heard the voice of God there. After Christ's death and resurrection, Peter said that the word of the prophets has been affected by those events. In what way is this so?
    - The word of the true prophets has gained much credibility by Christ's fulfilment of their prophesies.

    Chapter 10
    1. Did Christ present Himself to Israel as King?
    - He only allowed Himself to be presented that way on Palm Sunday.
    2. From which famous King of Israel was the Lord descended?
    - King David
    3. How was the coming kingdom of the Messiah described by the prophet Daniel?
    - The son of man was coming with the clouds of heaven, He was given authority, glory and sovereign power by the Ancient of Days. People of all kinds worshipped Him and His dominion is everlasting.
    4. What was the victory of our Lord Jesus Christ that established the kingdom of God and broke satanic power?
    - His death on the cross.
    5. If Christ 'ruled' by serving His people, what does that say about our responsibility to do the same?
    - "Whoever would be great among you must be your servant" - Mark 10:43
