  1. Chapter 5
1a. Isaiah the prophet foretold that Jehovah would come to His people one day. Who came?
    - Jesus
1b. What does this teach us about who Jesus Christ is?
    - It is obvious throughout the New Testament that Jesus is the great I AM. (Yahweh or Jehovah)
    2. If Jesus Christ created all things, what does this imply concerning His true identity?
    - Jesus was fully man and fully God. He is the second person of the Holy Trinity that is God. (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit)
    3. What did the apostle Paul mean by calling Jesus Christ 'the image of the invisible God?'
    - Christ is the physical, human form of God, who is spirit and not visible.
    4. Is Jesus called 'God' in the Scriptures?
    - Yes!

    Chapter 6
    1. Did the Lord Jesus Christ exist before His birth to Mary?
    - Yes. Jesus is the second person of the Holy Trinity and has thus existed since before time began, as God is self-existant and has always been.
    2. Which may be more properly called a miracle - Christ's conception or His birth?
    - His birth was really no different than any other human birth, it was His conception that is miraculous.
    3. Why did the eternal Son of God become a man?
    - To die. (so that He could defeat death and satan and free us from the bondage of our sin)
    4. Does the manhood of Christ continue today?
    - I'd never thought of this before but seeing it in 1 Tim 2:5, yes it does.
    5. How will our lives be changed if we imitate Christ in His incarnation?
    - We will die to self and learn to serve others as Christ did. Without expectation of repayment and for God's glory.

    Chapter 7
    1. What is the gospel story?
    - The gospel is about what God did, once and for all, in human history, to secure the salvation of his people through the death of Christ on the cross and His resurrection.
    2. What does the cry of the Lord from the cross, 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?' suggest concerning what our Lord was experiencing, as He died for the sins of His people?
    - Christ was experiencing Hell, separation from God that we all deserved and He was here to take as substitutionary punishment for us.
    3. Was the death of Christ something that God had planned, or was God caught by surprise?
    - God planned it.
4a. Where was the gospel to be preached?
    - To all the nations of the earth.
4b. What was to be the benefit to those who believe?
    - Eternal life with God.
